Questions families ask

Straight answers about this.

All questions
The laundry never ends. What helps?

Keep it moving: fewer places for clothes to wait, only start a load you can finish and fold straight into piles by person. When you fall behind, take one basket all the way to done.

Fix the laundry flow
How many sheets and towels does a family need?

Two sets of sheets per bed and two to three towels per person cover most households. Store each set inside its own pillowcase so a full set comes out in one move.

Plan the linen closet
What do I do with clothes my kids have outgrown?

Keep a “too small” bin in each child’s closet, then sort it into keep for a younger sibling, pass on, or recycle. Store kept clothes in boxes labeled by size and season.

Set up the outgrown system
At what age can kids do their own laundry?

Many children can sort lights and darks and fold simple items by six to eight, load a machine with supervision by nine to twelve and run a full load on their own as teens. Keep detergent pods out of young children’s reach.
